Betty L. Wolfe, 91, of Millheim, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024. Born February 20, 1933, in Smullton, Betty was a daughter of the late Paul and Talma “Weber” Bowersox. On June14, 1956, she married Jennings Wolfe who preceded her in death.
Betty was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Millheim where she was also employed as the custodian for 40 years. Betty enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bird watching, gardening, baking, sewing and hiking.
Betty is survived by one daughter, Tracy Wolfe of Bellefonte: one son, Adam Wolfe of Millheim: two siblings, Robert Bowersox (Linda) and Jim Bowersox (Barb), and two grandchildren, Ethan Wolfe (Stephanie) and Mackenzie Boyde Haley (Edward). Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and Betty’s special Jack Russell terrier, Mack. In addition to her husband, Betty was preceded in death by one daughter, Tina Wolfe and siblings, Freda Tate and her husband Lawrence, Mert Guisewhite and her husband Rufus, Nancy Martz, Connie Horner and William Bowersox.
In accordance with family wishes, all services are private. Betty will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Betty may be given to Pets Come First, 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
